Open Mind Tutoring, LLC, is ready to teach.  I am creative and persistent. I can bring you up to grade level, provide ongoing help with homework, give one-time session for a critical project or test, and explore supplementary material schools don’t cover.

I have an MA in psychology, and I’m able to really get to know my students and how they learn best – there’s always 2 or 3 ways of teaching any given concept, and I can figure out the best way to reach a student. Let me know if you want more info about me or references.

I work well with students with ADHD and executive functioning problems. I work especially well with students with ADHD who are also academically gifted.

I also enjoy working with elementary and middle school reluctant readers. I can bring them up to grade level, and I am good at finding reading material they enjoy – I usually make them love reading in addition to making them comfortable and confident with it.

Sessions last one hour. I offer a free 20 minute session so your student can meet me and decide whether they can work with me, while I get a sense for your student’s attitude toward school and the subject they was help in. 

Evening and weekend sessions available.  One-time or long term arrangements.   I provide all books and supplies I believe your student needs.
